Contrast (color accessibility)
Definition
The luminance difference between text and background, measured as a ratio. WCAG requires at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
In practice
A vibrant brand color almost never passes on a light background. Keep two tokens: the vivid color for dark backgrounds and a darker version for light ones.
