Rebranding: renewing the brand without losing what it earned

The company changed and the brand stayed behind. Rebranding is updating the form without erasing the history — and communicating the change the right way, inside and out.

Rebranding is the process of repositioning and redesigning a brand that already exists. Unlike creation from scratch, it deals with equity: customers who recognize the old logo, materials in circulation, a team used to things. That's why we start with a diagnosis: what in the current brand still works in your favor and what is holding growth back.

From there we define the degree of change — from a visual refresh to a complete repositioning with a new name — and design the new identity alongside a transition plan: the order in which touchpoints change, communication to customers and staff, and the brand book that supports the change. That's how NILCAP's rebranding went — a retread tire manufacturer that left the project with brand, brand book, sales material and social media all aligned.

Frequently asked questions

Rebranding

Does rebranding mean changing the logo?

Not always. Sometimes the symbol stays and what changes is positioning, typography, colors and voice. The diagnosis tells us the degree of change needed.

Will I lose the recognition I already have?

Not if the transition is planned. We keep the elements that carry recognition, communicate the change and switch touchpoints in the right order.

How much does rebranding cost?

It depends on scope: number of touchpoints, whether naming is involved and the volume of materials. The proposal is itemized, with fixed price and timeline.

How long does it take?

5 to 10 weeks for the brand, plus the transition period we define together.
