- One logo per channel. Instagram has one version, the website another, the business card a third. *Fix:* pick one, generate the versions (horizontal, reduced, monochrome) and switch everything in the same week.
- "More or less" the same color. The blue in the post isn't the blue on the site. *Fix:* three HEX codes written somewhere everyone can access.
- System fonts everywhere. Arial or Montserrat like everyone else. *Fix:* one headline font with personality + one readable body font. Licensed.
- Generic promise. "Quality and commitment." *Fix:* write your positioning in one sentence and test it with the competitor's name.
- Stock photos everywhere. Handshakes, smiling teams. *Fix:* one afternoon of real photos of your operation is worth more than 100 stock images.
- Tone of voice that changes with whoever posts. Formal one day, emojis the next. *Fix:* three adjectives and five examples of right and wrong sentences.
- No written rules. Everything depends on who remembers. *Fix:* a 20-page brand book — enough for the next vendor to get it right.
What these mistakes have in common
None of them calls for a new brand. All of them call for consistency: the same brand, the same way, across every touchpoint. Consistency is what makes people recognize you — and recognition is what makes them trust you.
